A Professional Approach
Welfare First Ltd is an independent organisation with specialist knowledge and expertise who offers local authorities with a number of services from welfare visits, direct work with families, outreach support, supervising contact, we also offer independent social work assessments.
Welfare First Ltd has also opened their first children's home; Hibbard House, which is located in East Lancashire. The Residential home will accommodate two children between the ages of 6-17 years at any one given time.
As experienced social workers, we understand how busy social workers can be and no one can predict for urgent situations or emergencies. Therefore, we are also offering support out of hours on an urgent basis, which can include; transporting children/families to placement or alternative accommodation, supervising children and young people who are awaiting a placement.
“We decided to set up Welfare First Ltd as we understand the pressures and strains of Social Work. Within our team, we have 4 qualified social workers, who have have experience within Child Protection teams, Children in Our Care team and Duty and Assessment Teams. Between all of us, we have over 20 years of experience. We also have experienced support workers and a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) within our team.”
